Abstract

Bow Thruster is a propulsion in the form of a propeller in the bow of a ship to deflect the ship during manouver. Bow thruster sucks water from the side of the ship and ejects it through the other side of the ship so the ship can turn left or right. Bow thruster on CB. BESTLINK 88 is a very important auxiliary machinery.. Because of the importance of this equipment it should be kept always ready to use, so that the engine officers shall conduct regular maintenance on a regular basis. The engine officer must also be able to operate the bow thruster.
