Abstract
Analyzing And Placing Electricity For Operation In KM. Sabuk Nusantara 72 At PT. Janata Marina Indah Diesel Genset (Generator) is a auxiliary machinery on the ship that serves to supply all electricity needs on board. Planning and determining the capacity of the generator must be able to meet the electricity needs of the ship in its operations. The amount of electricity used is influenced by the type of load used. Load has resistive, inductive, and capacitive properties. This property will have an impact on the electrical system, namely the power factor. The greater the power factor (large active power) then the electrical system will be better and vice versa. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to know the cause of the damage, the electrical placement procedures and treatments against electrical damage. Various electrical devices that occur damage are routinely repaired by checking and providing insulation so that there is no continuous damage.
