Abstract
Diesel engines are internal combustion engines widely used in the livestock and industrial sectors due to their high fuel efficiency, high torque, and durability. One important component in a diesel engine's fuel system is the fuel injection pump (Bosch Pump). This injection pump regulates the pressure, amount, and timing of fuel injection into the combustion chamber. If the Bosch Pump is damaged or not properly maintained, the diesel engine's performance will decrease and can cause operational disruptions. The Dungfeng 4-stroke diesel engine used at CV Sugara Farm plays a vital role in supporting livestock operations. In daily use, diesel engines operate under heavy load conditions and dusty environments, requiring optimal maintenance, especially on the fuel system. This scientific paper aims to determine the Bosch Pump maintenance and repair process on the Dungfeng 4-stroke diesel engine at CV Sugara Farm and to understand its impact on engine performance. The writing methods used include direct observation of the diesel engine, interviews with technicians and machine operators, and literature studies from related books and references. The results of this discussion indicate that routine maintenance, such as cleaning the fuel system, checking for leaks, and replacing worn components, can prevent serious damage to the Bocsh Pump. Furthermore, repairs performed according to procedures can restore diesel engine performance, allowing it to operate optimally and efficiently.
