Abstract
The presence of an adequate port plays a major role in supporting existing mobilization activities such as handling ship arrivals and departures, ship docking, loading and unloading of goods, and boarding. How the process of handling the arrival and departure of ships sometimes still experiences obstacles which hinder ships entering Tanjung Emas Port. This observation aims to find out how the handling of ship arrivals and departures is carried out PT. Pertamina Trans Kontinental Semarang at Tanjung Emas, and to find out these obstacles in the form of an inaport system that is still often down due to sudden maintenance which can hamper ship docking services, in addition to the completeness of documents and certificates from the ship and the ship's crew itself which are almost expired. This observation aims to find out what obstacles are faced in implementing the handling of ship arrivals and departures at the port of Tanjung Emas and to find out what efforts can be made to optimize the handling of ship arrivals and departures. This writing uses qualitative data types, primary and secondary data sources, and also uses data collection methods using the Observation method, interviews and literature studies. The results obtained in this writing are to find out the process of ship arrivals and departures at the port of Tanjung Emas, what obstacles are faced when handling ship arrivals and departures, and the agencies involved in the process of handling ship arrivals and departures.
