Abstract
Driving safety is a set of measures and regulations that drivers must follow to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries while driving. Jalan Abdulrahman Saleh in Semarang City is one of the main roads that connect various areas in the city which is a research site. This study aims to find out road markings, legal awareness, road conditions and vehicle conditions on driving safety on Abdulrahman Saleh Semarang road. The population in this study is motorcyclists on Jalan Abdulrahman Saleh Semarang and the sample used in this study is 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling type incidental sampling, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of Statistic Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 25 software. The formulation of regression in this study is as follows: Y = -1.735 + 0.335X1 + 0.291X2 + 0.256X3 + 0.247X4 + μ From this equation, it is known that the most dominant variable that affects traffic accidents is the road marking variable with a regression coefficient of 0.335. The R2 (R Square) test obtained a result of 61.9% Driving Safety (Y) which can be explained by independent variables, namely road marking variables (X1), legal awareness (X2), road conditions (X3) and vehicle conditions (X4). While the rest (100%-61.9% = 38.1%) was explained by other variables outside the model that were not described in this study. Examples: traffic signs, weather and so on.
