Abstract
As an archipelagic country, Indonesia has an increasing demand for electrical energy, where coal-fired Steam Power Plants (PLTU) remain the main energy source, making the smooth unloading process of coal a crucial factor in supporting plant operations. However, in its implementation, there are still several obstacles such as suboptimal unloading equipment productivity, ineffective communication systems, and inadequate implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS). The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of unloading equipment productivity, communication systems, and OHS on the smoothness of coal unloading at PT. Adhi Guna Putera Tanjung Jati B Unit 1–2 Jepara. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey method through questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results show the regression equation: Y = 1.197 + 0.203 X1 + 0.302 X2 + 0.218 X3 + µ, and the t-test results indicate that the variables of unloading equipment productivity, communication systems, and OHS have a positive and significant partial effect on the smoothness of coal unloading, with a coefficient of determination of 57.5%. Thus, improving equipment productivity, communication effectiveness, and optimal OHS implementation is essential to support the smooth operation of coal unloading. Keywords: Unloading equipment productivity, communication system, occupational health and safety (OHS), coal unloading smoothness.
