Abstract
Semarang Container Terminal faces challenges in optimizing its operational performance. This research aims to evaluate the ability of the Semarang Container Terminal to serve the flow of ships and containers, identify factors that cause high dwelling time figures, especially for imports, and calculate the capacity of the storage yard to accommodate stacks of containers. This research is limited to the scope of the Semarang Container Terminal with a focus on container loading and unloading activities. The data used is sourced from the Tanjung Emas Harbormaster's Office, Semarang, namely loading and unloading operational time data. The results of the research are expected to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of the Semarang Container Terminal in dealing with increasing container flows, identify the factors causing high dwelling time, and determine the optimal capacity of the stacking yard. These findings can be a basis for management in taking corrective and optimization steps to increase productivity and operational efficiency of container terminals.
