Abstract
This research is motivated by the importance of preventing seawater pollution from disposing of wastewater from the ship's engine room. Oil-water separator is one of the equipments that can be used to prevent pollution from the engine room. If the dirty oil mixed with seawater is disposed of through OWS, the dirty oil that comes from the engine room sewer water after passing through the OWS, the sewer water waste that is discharged into the sea is safe for the environment because the mixture of oil and oil content does not exceed 15 PPM. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of OWS maintenance and repair to prevent pollution in the sea in KM. Lawit. The research method used is a qualitative approach because it describes how the management of OWS care is to prevent pollution in the sea in KM. Lawit in more detail and clarity while. The result of this research is to perform maintenance on OWS in KM. Lawit needs maintenance management which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and finally monitoring when operating OWS.
