Abstract
The subject of this discussion is to obtain a deeper understanding and understanding of how the import process in the Tanjung Emas Region in Semarang. And also how the role of EMKL PT. Gateway Container Line in the import process. There are several background problems that must be resolved in this paper, namely how the role of the system of importing goods activities, procedures for importing goods, handling red lines, document retrieval requirements. The red lane, the red lane is the process ofservice and supervision of the release of imported goods by physical inspection and document examination before the issuance approval letter expenditures (SPPB). The purpose ofthis paper is none other than to know the handling of imports ofgoods affected by the red lane. Suggestions that can be submitted are the need for increased responsibility, service, and cooperation between employees in carrying out their duties, and the need for an increase in the quality of human resources.
