Abstract
Indonesia is an archipelagic country, part of which is in the form of oceans. Commercial shipping plays an important role in supporting the process of distributing goods. For smooth loading and unloading to and from the ship, of course the ship's readiness is needed in carrying out loading and unloading activities so that the loading and unloading process will run smoothly and according to planning. In the world of commercial shipping, it cannot be separated from the activities of unloading and loading, the transportation of goods from one port of loading to the port of destination. to avoid and overcome existing constraints, both those arising in the operation of shipping of cargo and loading and unloading activities. To support the smooth running of the loading and unloading process, we need to know several things such as documents, agencies, tools used, constraints / obstacles that occur during the loading and unloading process as well as preparations to the loading and unloading process. The purpose of this paper is to find out what are the factors that support the smooth process of unloading and the factors that become obstacles / obstacles in the unloading process of coal. Supporting factors such as documents, agencies, and tools used during the unloading process. The method used by the author when collecting data during observations is a field study at PT. Pualam Emas Sejahtera, observation by careful recording of problems, discussions or interviews with bongkarmuat supervisors or port staff and also conducts library studies to retrieve liferature from various books. The result of this paper is to know how the coal unloading process is as well as knowing the factors that can support the smooth loading and unloading process as well as knowing the constraints / obstacles that occur in the loading and unloading process.
