Abstract

Operation and maintenance of the Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) to maintain safe movement at KM. NUSA SEJAHTERA in several propeller units there are various types and ways of operating the propeller system, for example the Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) during operation, maintenance and operation requires special supervision so that the propeller system runs properly and the propeller can change / adjust the propeller pitch. Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) is often used on some sailing vessel motor load ships or ships sailing long distances, which is a type of propeller whose system can be adjusted as desired and makes it easier to move the ship. The propeller with a small leaf angle will move the ship forward with a slight distance at each turn (the ship moves forward slowly). Operation and maintenance in accordance with the procedure for the Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) can prevent damage to the main and auxiliary components, in compiling the controllable pitch propeller (CPP) system paper research data to support the Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) also requires maintenance of components that the hydraulic system must have maintenance planing in order to maximize propeller performance and reduce system failure and special supervision because the materials used and the price of the Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) components are more expensive than the usual propeller types.
