Abstract
Efforts to Optimize Secure Cargo Security In Reducing Cargo Damage on MV. Tanto Bersinar Optimization securing is one of the important factors in human life. Theft, burglary and even fire is something that is very unpopular by all mankind, because it can take victims of life and property. Cargo shipping on container ships should receive special attention, because if ignored it will take a lot of casualties. Thus securing cargo is a guide in the process of loading and unloading so as not to cause various problems. In order to realize effective and safe load planning during the loading process must firstly know the theory and practice of the types of cargo, the nature and quality of the load, the cargo maintenance, the use of bongktload tools and the provisions concerning the safety of the ship and its cargo. The method used in preparing this Scientific Work is the method of Library Research and Field Research Methods. Arranging loading safeguards should also pay attention to the principles of cargo. Taking into account the principle of securing the load, so that loading and unloading can be done properly, regularly and systematically which will create a process of loading and unloading activities that are efficient and effective in the use of time and cost. This optimization of loading safeguards determines the safety of shipping vessels in carrying cargo from one port to another. Keywords: Securing Cargo, Effective, Safety Voyage
