Abstract

Definition of Optimal Shield of Arrival Operational Process and Departure of Belts Owned by PT. BAHTERA SETIA Semarang Branch At Tanjung Emas Port The background that contains the benefits in companies that develop businesses, as well as extensive shipping activities, is often used in the transportation process because it can carry large quantities and therefore on sea transportation or ships is very useful. The purpose of the observations made by the author was to find out the process and operational handling of the arrival and departure of ships by PT Bahtera Setia Semarang Branch. The theoretical foundation used by the author in this observation is in the form of books, internet, laws, ministerial regulations, and other sources. The type of observation used by the author is qualitative descriptive. This observation took place at PT Bahtera Setia Semarang Branch. Data sources are obtained from informants (informants), events or activities, documents and archives. The results obtained from the observations that the author did were handling the arrival and departure of ships carried out by PT Bahtera Setia Semarang Branch at the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang. Broadly speaking, the process and operation of handling ship arrivals and departures starts from before the ship arrives, when the ship arrives (Clearance in) starting from the preparation until the implementation, before the ship departs (Clearance out) starting from preparation to implementation, when the ship departs, making report after the ship departs, and documents needed when handling the arrival and departure of ships and related institutions during activities at the port.
