Abstract
Overview of the Role of Meteorological Stations in Supporting Shipping Safety and Security Programs in Tanjung Mas Semarang Working Area The Maritime Meteorology Station is a communication tool for stations engaged in shipping. The Maritime Meteorology Station assists in observing the weather on a voyage if extreme weather changes occur, as well as a means of communication for rescue and rescue water operations and is one of the important factors in shipping. The role of the Semarang Meteorological Station in the task of assisting the safety of shipping to ships is very large. Without the Maritime Meteorological Station, the ships will have difficulty selecting a shipping line during the coastline or entering the port. Each Maritime Meteorological Station has boundaries that are observed due to the vast marine sphere, so the observations are divided to be accurate.
