Abstract

Mechanism is a series of work tools used in solving a problem related to the work process. Docking is the activity of moving a ship from the water to the dock with the help of docking facilities. The purpose of this paper is to prevent damage to the ship, to determine the process when docking the ship, another purpose is to find out the equipment used to support the process of ship maintenance in the shipyard. The data source is an important part in writing, while the data source used is primary data secondary data. The data collection method is the most strategic method in writing, as for the observation method, the interviewing method, the library method. The results of this paper are able to find out how the stages in the ship docking mechanism and what is checked when docking the ship. The conclusion at this writing the stages in the implementation of docking work has several steps where PT. Citra Bahari Shipyard has its own principles. Concerning the stealing process, hull maintenance from ship cleaning to painting on the hull. Keywords: Mechanism, Docking, Shipyard
