Abstract
Accident happens. It could be anywhere,including on board of a ship. It could be because of cargo overload,passangers overload, technical and non-technical problems. These problems can endanger the security and safety of the voyage,moreover the passanger’s comfortability. The socialization of using the safety equipment on board of a ship is one of the way to reduce casualties when accident happen. It is important whenever emergency happen. It is to protect the passengers to potential danger. The purpose of this study is to know the effort of PT. Dharma Lautan Utama (PT. DLU) to socialize the life-saving equipment and how to use it. The data collective method used were field research, interview, library risearch. The result of this study is tent the effort too socialize the life-saving equipment is oppriciates and the passanger understood the procedures. Keywords: Socialization, procedure safety equipment on vessel.
