Abstract
Loading and discharging of containers in Indonesian ports still lacks optimization of loading and discharging tools. So much time is wasted due to container loading and discharging damage on board. Which can make delivery of goods hampered and not running according to plan. In the implementation of maintenance of loading and discharging equipment on board, the ship and the company perform periodic checks and maintenance, so that the process of container loading and discharging equipment can achieve the desired result. The maintenance of container loading and discharging equipment on board requires a regular planning and management in accordance with the provisions of international rules. A management system that does not work in accordance with the plan will result in damage to the loading and discharging equipment, resulting in a waste of time. If checking and maintenance of container loading and discharging equipment is done regularly by the ship and the company then it is certain that container loading and discharging process will be more optimal. Key Word :Container loading and discharging equipment maintenance.
