Abstract
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF AIR COMPRESSORS TO SUPPORT PERFOMANCE OF THE MAIN ENGINE IN MV.TAKARA PT.KARYA NUSANTARA LINES JAKARTA A compressor is an auxiliary aircraft that used to obtain air in a container that is accommodated in an air vessel or wind bottle. Compressor one type of the tools that must be required to exist or have on a ship that is function as a tool for air start main engine and auxiliary engine. The air compressor in general uses the driving force of the electic engine although there is a source of energy from fuel. And often seen on a ship starting system that is used pressurized air. Although one type of compressor has different advantages but the initial finish is the same that is use air. Therefore for the operation of the air compressors is in need of maintenance and repair maintenance the perfomance of the compressor.
