Abstract

SYSTEM AND MAINTENANCE ANCHOR WINDLASS IN SHIP MV. JK GALAXY PT. AMAS SAMUDRA JAYA Prepared by: Ardi Wira Almer NRP. 135120025 A windlass machine is an anchor crane mounted onboard for the purpose of lifting and stretching anchors and anchors through an anchor tube (hawse pipe). The windlass machine should be placed in a bowled-out position so as to facilitate the operation and anchoring. The windlass machine's response is strengthened by plate thickening and strong foundation construction.
