Abstract

COOLING WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM IN SUPPORTING OPERATIONAL MACHINERY MACHINE IN KM. LABOBAR Arranged by : MOH. SURYA ERIYANTO SAPUTRA NRP: 145220122 Cooling is a medium that serves to absorb heat. Heat is obtained from the combustion of fuel in the cylinder. Inside the cooling system there are several components that work in relation among others: cooler, fresh water circulation pump, strainer water pump, sea water filter and sea chest. Of reciprocity that the results have not been maximum results of cooling to the Main Engine. Cooling water in its function is vital in maintaining the smooth operation of the Main Engine. In order for the diesel motor building to be maintained from the stresses due to heat, the heat generated must be controlled. This situation can only be solved by circulating the cooling medium with constant pressure to all components of the main engine such as cylinder jacket cooling, cylinder head, and injector. This system should be an oversight for the engine crew to keep the flow of cooling smoothly. Key words : Cooling Main Engine System, Related Components, Main Engine Operation
