Abstract

Effort Of Maintenance And Repair The Turbocharger ToIcrease The Function Of Main Engine In Ship Niki Sejahtera PT. Janata Marina Indah Turbocharger is one of the auxiliary engines that support the operation of the main engine which functions to produce pressurized rinse air and supply the air into the combustion chamber cylinder for the combustion process. some problems that occur if the turbocharger is not properly maintained such as the exhaust gas temperature is rising, the exhaust gas exhaust is black from the chimney, and the lack of rinse air pressure that enters the combustion chamber of the ship's engine. In this case, the author hopes that the awareness of the parties concerned realizes the importance of maintenance and operation of the turbocharger towards the smooth operation of the main engine. Turbocharger maintenance efficiency aims to knowledge turbocharger maintenance members to support the performance of the main drive engine in accordance with the manual manual on board, member solutions that occur in the turbocharger correctly, to develop the competency of the marine profession in order to have insight and thinking skills scientific and acting technologically. the result of turbocharger maintenance for controlling or preventing the level of damage to the ship's engine and considering the efficiency of costs incurred for the operation of the ship and so that the condition of the main engine and other engine can operates moothly, The temperature stabilizes so the main engine does not heat up quickly and does not cause vibration.
