Abstract

Operation and maintenance oil water saparator in mt. surya Chandra PT. suyandra nusa. Jakarta oil water saparator is a manchinery of on board where the fluid which does not separated each other because of the density differences. In this case the material are focused on water and oil , which is the density of water is greater than the density of oil. so the separation process will put the water and the prosess will be done during the voyage. Total oil content is not more than 15 ppm . In this paper the author explains how maintain and operate the oil water saparator well and correctly. Author used methods by to data collecting which includeing : observation, interviewing, discussion, and library research In order to get a well performance of the oil water saparator and it can be run properly, so it is important to maintain the oily water saparator, espancially saparator vertical and saparator horizontal. It is in order to minimize the problem thet will occur and arise when the oil water saparator are operated. It is expected to maintain oily water saparator regulary and periodically to have a better operation of the oily water saparator Keywords : maintenance, operation, oil water saparator
