Abstract
System Operation and Maintenance of AC Central to Increase Fresh Room in Ship TUG BOAT TRANSKO MURAI. PT. PERTAMINA TRANS KONTINENTAL CABANG CILACAP In this globalization era, Industry created innovations to add the comfort of ship's accommodation. The AC system is used to keep the air condition become clean. The formulation of the problem in this paper are how to operate and maintain AC also how to overcome the problem. The purpose of this research is to discuss the operation and maintenance of AC. Another goal is to find the cause of damage that often occurs in AC machines. Damages that often occur are damage to the compressor, evaporator, and leaks in the AC system. Maintenance is done by checking temperature, lubrication and replacement accordingly. A leak in the pipeline connections had an impact on the AC which was not cold. Repair the leaking pipes by patching them with copper welding. This paper is conducted by observation, documentation, literature and interviews. The lack of maintenance can cause the central of air conditioning can not be operated. The broken compressor leaked the evaporator and the leakage of the pipes were the main causes. Central AC repairing and maintenance must be carried out according to the instruction manual book. Central AC maintenance is carried out regularly and periodically. It is recommended to check lubrication and AC pipes in accordance with the SOP. Keywords: Central AC, Maintenance and operation
