Abstract

The main topic in writing this paper is about the role of the system in the trucking activities of PT. Suzuyo Indonesia by PT. Samudera Bandar Logistik (Samudera Indonesia Group). There are several background issues that must be resolved in the research is how the role of the system in the trucking transport activities, the customer system used, the way of transportation, the transportation trucking rates, and how to archive the monthly document trucking activities. The company is engaged in logistics which has one of the land transportation services in the form of trucks or can be called by trucking. Trucking activities that do the delivery and taking goods from the warehouse to the warehouse (door to door service) customers. The purpose of writing this paper is none other than to know how the role of the system in the trucking transport activities, the customer system used, the way of transportation, transportation rates trucking, and how to archive the monthly document trucking activities. Based on data collection conducted during land practice (PRADA) the author uses several methods such as observation methods, interviews, and document analysis as well as sources and data types. The results of this paper discussion is the role of the system in the trucking activities will run smoothly if the employee staff of the company in entering the data into the system more thoroughly so that no errors when entering customer data.
