Abstract
The purpose of this paper describes the responsibilities of the office of martyrdom and the authority of the Port of Class II of Tanjung Pinang in the safety of the voyage. Based on the use of literature research methods concluded that the purpose of writing this paper to know how far responsibility syahbandar in security and safety of shipping. The task of supervision conducted by a syahbandar in the framework of arranging facilities and infrastructure of sea transport operational operators is very important. A syahbandar in his duty must also ensure awareness of the users of sea transportation services such as companies, ship owners, crew to obey the law and the provisions of the legislation . The actions he undertakes are in order to enhance the supervision, security and safety of matters relating to shipping.
