Abstract
This paper is structured to know about the role of agency Because in the world of shipping we know of a ship agency one of which is a shipping company PT. SwadayaWiraMaritim Semarang Branch as part of the agency is one of the main supporting companies because each ship that will lean for a particular interest must first contact the appointed agent in accordance with the company that handles the ships in port. Prior to the vessel arriving the agent notifies the port Administrator of the planned arrival of the ship by enclosing several certificates: Cambar master, Copy Manifest, Copy B / L, etc. Next send a notice to the owner of the goods. the owner of the port concerned and fill out the 1A/PPKB document containing the application for berthing and attach the document: Copy of Ship Measure and Copy Manifests, after notifying the owner of the goods, about Estimate To Arrive (ETA) and coordinating with PBM to prepare loading and unloading equipment ship. Agents/voyages boarded to take ships/documents for Clearance In at Syahbandar office.As long as the ship is at the port the letters are kept at the Syahbandar office until the ship will leave the port. After loading/unloading activities carried out by PBM is completed, the agent/vessel submits a wizard / delay request at PT. PELINDO for the activities of ship out of harbor. Agent/cruise issuing Clearance Out at Syahbandar office by showing Disbursement account and other terms have been settled, then ship letters received back by the agent to be delivered to ship Keywords:procedureclearance in, Cleareance out
