Abstract
This paper is based on the progress and development of business world today, shipping companies are required to expand their business. One way is to open a branch company in advanced ports. In that effort, PT. Bahtera Setia seeks to increase its business in the field of shipping and serve the document management as possible so that the trust and satisfaction of consumers as service users will also be maximized. Therefore, the company especially PT. Bahtera Setia who has received the appointment of the agency from the shipping service user, will act as an agent to serve the needs of the ship while in the advanced port. In this case the company PT. Bahtera Setia is a company engaged in the field of ships that take care of ship documents and ship needs, from there PT.Bahtera Setia opened its branch office in Semarang to become an agent acting as representative of the center to handle the ships that will lean in Semarang.
