Abstract

The main topic in writing this paper is about the process of completion of import documents at PT. Multi Terminal Indonesia Surabaya Branch. There are several background issues that must be completed writer is the process of import activities, documents and agencies involved in imports, how to import goods from the TPS. PT. Multi Terminal Indonesia is a subsidiary of State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), PT. Second Port Autority (Persero) which has the intensity of export and import services in the field of logistics, warehouse, freight forwarding, and transportation services by sea, land and air. The purpose of writing this paper is none other than to know how the process of import activities, documents and any related institutions in the import, and how to release imported goods from the TPS. In this paper the authors use Qualitative research, because the data obtained later in the form of information that spelled data sources. From the research results Handling Document Import Polyester Staple Fiber often occurs obstacles that is, when the activity carried out the weather conditions in the port is uncertain. Errors in document inputs to customs and excise, time constraints and intermodal load trucks. Keywords: Import Document, Logistic, Marine Ship Expedition, Customs
