Abstract
Stevedoring Company is the Indonesian legal Entity company specially set up to organize and commercialize the loading / unloading of goods to and from ships. Cargo Handling is a service activity on the content (in and out) throught the port, covered loading / unloading, removal of the ship’s side to place stockpiling / storage, organize and store items as well as submit to the owner, or otherwise receive from the owner.with The method used for writing this paper is descriptive data collection using methods of observasion (observation), the method question (questionnaire), the method of interview (interview), documentary method, the method library (Library Search), so that the result obtained are process In written works can draw some conclusions, namely : how the procces of loading and unloading container on the island of batam, any party involved in the processing of unloading, the documents unloading, the documents required in the management of the loading and unloading activities can be divided into two types: 1. Document work wich includes Working Orders, Cargo Manifest, Tally Sheet, Letter (Delivery Order) 2. Documents dock licensing activities include Form 1B, 1C Form, Form 2B. Form 2C.
