Abstract
This paper is to explain about the construction of a sea highway at PT. Delta Artha Bahari Nusantara. Intensity, which aims to develop the regional economy to reduce price disparities in the Java region with the eastern region and other isolated areas in Indonesia, the government initiated a policy idea called the Sea Toll Road. Sea Toll is a cheap, routine and scheduled shipping service to reach certain ports with a certain cargo allocation. The sea toll is also expected to maximally reduce the value of the parameter index in certain commodities, this existence also creates a more efficient distribution price in compare it with national shipping because of the program. This sea highway is subsidized by the government. Based on data collection carrier at in PT. Delta Artha Bahari Nusantara the author uses several methods including observational methods, interviews, and document analysis, the results show that: The role of the sea highway in improving inter-island connectivity in Indonesia gives significant results to reduce price disparities in Java region with eastern region.
