Abstract

Human Resources (HR) is one of the things that has the most important role. HR in the organization plays a role in forming a plan, realization in activities, and evaluation to achieve better results in the future, decision making is an adequate skill, ability, and knowledge base. Within the organization a good guidance is needed for its employees, to prevent violations that can cause harm to the company. This study aims to determine the effect of work ability of work discipline and work environment partially and simultaneously on the performance of the employees of PT. KAI DAOP IV Tawang Semarang. The population in this study were employees of PT. KAI at Tawang Station Semarang with this research sample of 65 respondents. The sampling technique used is nonpropability sampling with the type of sampling that is saturated sampling. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, data were analyzed using linear regression analysis with the help of (Software) Statistics Package for Social Science (SSPS). The results of this study indicate that the variable work ability, work discipline and work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. KAI DAOP IV Tawang Semarang. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained by the equation Y = 1.507 + -, 282 X1 + 0.351 X2 + 0.230 X3 + µ. From the regression equation it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing customer satisfaction is the work discipline variable with a regression coefficient of 0.351. With the R2 (R Square) test the results obtained are 0.561 or 56.1%, which means that the performance of the employees of PT. KAI DAOP IV Tawang Semarang, influenced by the variable work ability and work environment that is equal to 43.9% and other factors that affect the performance of employees at PT. KAI DAOP IV Tawang Semarang. Keywords: Human resources, work ability, work discipline, work environment and employee performance
