Abstract
Port management is an absolute thing to be managed for the country of Indonesia, because it has a large influence in meeting the needs of goods. The era of conquest has changed port facilities to be advanced so that competition must improve port services. There are four container operation subsystems namely Ship Operations, Operation Docs, Field Operations, Reception and Delivery Operations. The practice is carried out by making observations, interviews, documentation, so that the authors analyze the problem, namely the length of the operation. PT. PELINDO III (Persero) Bagendang Port is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) engaged in port service activities. Have the task of providing services to service users. Keywords: Efforts to improve port services, operate the Bagendang container port.
