Abstract
The main discussion in writing this paper is about the recruitment system of the crew at PT. Pilindo Megah Selatan as manning agency "Pacific International Lines Singapore" There are several background problems that must be resolved from this paper, namely how the role of the system in the process of recruiting crew members, how to recruit, contract procedures, obstacles that exist in the process of departure of the crew. This company is engaged in Crewing which has services that provide crew members. The shipping company must run a good ship and be ready to meet the fleet in the shipping company itself. The purpose of writing this paper is nothing but to find out how the process of recruiting crew members, procedures and obstacles that exist in the process of departing the crew of the ship. Based on data collection carried out during land practice (PRADA) the author uses several methods including methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. It was concluded that the role of the system in recruitment activities would run smoothly if staff crewing entered the data crew into the system more carefully so that there were no errors.
