Abstract

The main discussion in writing this paper is the application of the IMAIS (Integrated Marine Information System) application for pilot operations by PT. Pelindo Marine Service Surabaya. There are several background problems that must be solved by the author, namely the process of carrying out ship guidance, implementation of IMAIS (Integrated Marine Information System) for monitoring and operational activities, as well as obstacles that occur in the process of guiding ships at PT Pelindo Marine Service. The purpose is to find out the process of implementing ship guidance, to find out the implementation of the IMAIS system, and to find out the obstacles that occur in the process of guiding ships at PT Pelindo Marine Service. Based on data collection carried out pduring observation, the author uses several methods, namely interviews, observation, study documents, and focus group discussions and the sources and types of data. The results of the discussion of this paper are procedures for the use of non-owned vessels for SBPP (Procrastination Service Assistance) activities, guiding tasks, operational standards and procurement procedures, steps in the use of the IMAIS (Integrated Marine Information System) system, constraints that occurs in the guiding process and how to overcome it.The end result of this paper is that with the use of the IMAIS (Integrated Marine Information System) system, ship piloting operations can run effectively and efficiently.
