Abstract
PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) or ASDP Indonesia Ferry as the only State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in the Ferries and port sector, have a responsibility to organize Ferries transport and harbors effectively and efficiently and cover throughout the archipelago with an affordable price for the public. ASDP Indonesia Ferry is committed to continuously develop itself by opening inter-islands access within the archipelago and improving services for users and all stakeholders in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). Indonesia is a country known as a maritime country with a large part of its territory consisting of waters and consisting of islands. Therefore sea transportation facilities are very important to connect islands scattered throughout Indonesia. One means of sea transportation is sea transportation in the form of ships. Ships that are a means of connecting to the sea that are known to the public at large. A shipping company operates its vessels from one port to another, so the shipping company has to take care of the vessels that are operated when they are at the port. The activity takes care of all the ship's needs starting from the arrival of the ship, while at the port until the time of departure. The purpose of the observations made by the author is to know the system and procedures for handling the arrival and departure of passenger ships by PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) Semarang Branch. The theoretical foundation used by the author in this observation is in the form of books, internet, laws, ministerial regulations, and other sources.
