Abstract
The main point in writing this paper is about the service of container loading and unloading activities by PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia IV (Persero) Branch of Manokwari. There are several background problems that must be resolved by the author, namely the service of loading and unloading activities, documents used during container loading and unloading activities, tools used when loading and unloading activities, and obstacles that occur during the activity container loading and unloading. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out the documents used, the service process of loading and unloading activities, the tools used, and the obstacles that occur during the loading and unloading process. The discussion of this paper is the service of loading and unloading activities from before the ship arrives until after the ship departs. Constraints that often occur when managing container loading and unloading documents such as PBM (Loading and Unloading Company) receive an appointment from the Shipping in the form of a document. So that the management and submission of container loading and unloading documents need to be considered and examined so that there are no documents that are lacking and will result in delays in the process of managing documents. The end result of this paper is that the service of container loading and unloading activities can facilitate operational activities in the field. Keyword: Service, Container, Loading and Unloading
