Abstract
Smooth the process of arrival and departure of ships in the harbor is a measure of the succes of services provided by PT. Arpeni Pratama Ocean Line Jepara branch to corporate customers, especially in terms of the services provided to the ship and crew, timeliness in berthing and departure of ships, prearedness in the provision off all facilities required ships, licensing the relevant agencies. Therefore, this paper made to determine the services that must be done in an effort to improve service company in handling the process of berthing and departure of ships mediated by PT. Arpeni Pratama Ocean Line branch Jepara. In this paper, the authors describe the theories used in the preparation of research reports and runway used to solve the existing problems in the research process mainly related with the nation of agency services, duties and functions of the company, agency services in the arrival and departure of ships in port agency ies involed in the proccess of arrival and departure of vessels as well as a framework of thinking that authors use research. Based on these results, the necessary preparations beforehand in serving the arrival and departure of ships in the harbor. Preparation of the relevant agencies, document preparation, and coordination with related services company, to the preparations for the departure of the ship. The services provided should be focused on customer satisfaction, so that various problems that arise should be taken as soon as possible so that the right solution can be completed quickly as possible.
