Abstract
This study aims to describe the procedures for handling import document services in the Batam free trade area from the Customs and Excise Main Service Office to completion by PPJK PT. Batam Indonesia Indah. This study also aims to explore the problems found in the company for future improvements. There are several background problems that must be solved in this paper, namely how to process the management of import documents in the Batam free trade area. and also know what agencies are involved in managing import documents in the Batam free trade area. Knowing what obstacles PT. Batam Indonesia Indah in processing Import documents. Based on data collection carried out during the study, the authors used several methods including methods of observation, interviews and document analysis. The results were obtained: the role of PT.Batam Indonesia Indah as a company engaged in the PPJK sector was very helpful for importers / owners of goods in the process of processing import documents to the Customs and Excise Agency.
