Abstract

This paper was prepared to find out the ship agency services in the clearance and clearance of MV vessels. Maruni Pratama by PT. Bahtera Adhiguna. PT. Bahtera Adhiguna is a shipping company engaged in ship agency. Ship agency service process at PT. Bahtera Adhiguna starts from the flow of the berth, and until the ship leaves the port of Gresik Petrochemical. Information technology is needed so that the ship agency service activities can be presented quickly, precisely and easily. To achieve the above goals, the author uses several methods of data collection, namely observation, interviews and documentation, as well as the sources and types of data. Agency services in the process of clearance in and clearance out the agent makes or prepares the needs needed during the clearance in and clearance out process such as making an application to the portals and quarantine, after which the agent conducts clearance in and clearance out to the syahbandar and quarantine with bring the request. Shahbandar will issue a sailing and quarantine approval letter to issue a quarantine sailing permit. When the clearance in and clearance did not all go smoothly, there were obstacles that hindered the clearance process such as tucked away ship documents and bad weather. So that the clearance in and clearance out process will be hampered, for that the agent in overcoming these obstacles first checks the completeness of the ship's documents so as not to hamper the ship's clearance and clearance process. So even with bad weather conditions the agent must be active in seeking information to the Syahbandar in order to know the weather conditions, so that the activities and clearance in and clearance out of the ship are not hampered and the departure of the ship is as planned Keywords: Agency, Ship, Documents, Clearance in and Clearance out
