Abstract
PT. TransutaLintasSamudera is a shipping company engaged in shipping agency.at the study authors choose using the research qualitative. The shipping agency activity begins with the appointment of agency by the ship owner to the agency at the destination port of the ship, if the designation of the agency has been obtained then all the activities of the vessel will be handled by the appointed agent, including reporting the arrival of the ship to the office of the local harbour master, shifting licenses , taking the documents to the ship, and the activities required as long as the ship is at the port, until the ship gets a sailing license. In the usual agency service occurs delays caused by weather factors, not prime condition of the ship, and damage to equipment on the dock. Intansi government and private companies are very important in implementing agency activities, such as licensing by government agencies and loading and unloading activities by loading and unloading parties.
