Abstract

As an archipelagic country, Indonesia relies on ports as logistical distribution hubs. PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Tanjungpandan is a strategic port that supports trade activities. However, the port still faces several challenges, including the lack of occupational health and safety implementation, labor discipline issues, and suboptimal operational performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Discipline of Cargo Handling Workers (TKBM), and Operational Performance on Cargo Handling Performance at PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Tanjungpandan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature review, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to respondents directly involved in port operations. The analytical technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the resulting equation : Y = 2,105 + 0,239X 1 + 0,423X 2 + 0,204X 3 + μ The t-test results indicate that all independent variables, namely Occupational Health and Safety, Discipline of Cargo Handling Workers, and Operational Performance, have a positive and significant effect on Cargo Handling Performance. An Adjusted R Square value of 0.534 indicates that 53.4% of the variation in cargo handling performance can be explained by these three independent variables, while the remaining portion is influenced by other factors outside this research model. These findings provide relevant insights for port management to improve the productivity and efficiency of cargo handling activities. Keywords: Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Discipline of Cargo Handling Workers, and Cargo Handling Performance
