Abstract
The airbag repair process at PT Dok Pantai Lamongan requires effective work time control to ensure that repair activities are completed according to the established standard time. Delays in the repair process can reduce the effectiveness of work time control and decrease operational efficiency. Therefore, an evaluation of time performance is necessary to determine the effectiveness of work time index control in improving the efficiency of airbag repair activities. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of work time index control on the efficiency of airbag repair at PT Dok Pantai Lamongan. The analysis was conducted by comparing the Planned Time (PT) and Actual Time (AT) of two airbag types, namely Jinan Changlin and Shandong Nanhai. The findings are expected to provide an overview of time performance achievement and serve as a reference for improving work time control in the airbag repair process. This research employed a quantitative approach using the Time Performance Analysis method with Schedule Variance (SV) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI) as performance indicators adapted from the Earned Value Management (EVM) concept focusing on the time aspect. The research data consisted of standard time and actual repair time obtained from company records for the period of September to December 2025. The data were analyzed by calculating the SV and SPI values to evaluate time performance and compare the effectiveness of work time control for each airbag type. The results indicate that the Jinan Changlin airbag consistently recorded negative Schedule Variance (SV) values and Schedule Performance Index (SPI) values below 1 throughout the observation period, indicating that the repair process exceeded the planned schedule and had not achieved effective work time control. In contrast, the Shandong Nanhai airbag demonstrated better time performance, with positive SV values and SPI values above 1 in September, November, and December, while delays occurred only in October, as indicated by a negative SV value and an SPI below 1. Overall, the study concludes that the effectiveness of work time index control in the repair process of Shandong Nanhai airbags is better than that of Jinan Changlin airbags, as it achieved the planned time targets in most observation periods. Keywords: Work Time Index Control, Time Performance Analysis, Schedule Variance (SV), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Airbag Repair Efficiency.
