Abstract

The main discussion in the writing of this Paper is about the operational proceduresof the Shipping Agency Company PT. Trans Maritim Agensi—specifically the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that serve as a systematic guide formanaging the entire vessel servicing process. These procedures govern the tasks associated with a ship's arrival at and departure from the port, ranging fromsecuring entry clearance (Clearance in) to finalizing departure documentation(Clearance Out). The data collection was conducted during the author's six-month land practice(Prada) at PT. Trans Maritim Agensi (9 th September 2025 – 10 th March 2026). Data was obtained directly from the company through documentation, observation, and face-to-face interviews with shore-based staff during actual ship agency operations. The findings outline the correct operational procedures for vessel arrival anddeparture at the port, in accordance with the protocols established by PT. TransMaritim Agensi.
