Abstract
This study aims to analyze the operational productivity of a launching way facility using a marine airbag system, determine the period with the highest productivity level, and calculate the productivity index using the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach with the object of study being a shipyard in East Java. The data consisted of operational records from January to December 2025, including ship Gross Tonnage (GT), workforce, man-hours (JO), electricity consumption, marine airbag utilization, and overtime working hours. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. Productivity analysis was carried out by developing five productivity ratios, namely labor productivity, man-hour productivity, electricity consumption productivity, marine airbag utilization productivity, and overtime work intensity productivity. Each ratio was then analyzed using the OMAX method through productivity level determination, scoring, weighting, and productivity indicator and index calculations. The results indicate that the operational productivity of the launching way facility fluctuated throughout the observation period. The highest productivity was achieved in November 2025 with a productivity indicator of 1000 and a productivity index of 2.333, while the lowest productivity occurred in June 2025 with a productivity indicator of 10 and a productivity index of -0.966. The productivity fluctuations were influenced by the efficiency of labor utilization, man-hours, electricity consumption, marine airbag usage, and overtime working hours in generating ship repair output.
