Abstract
The main discussion in writing this paper is about the role of the system in the New Pelni Ticketing System. how the role of the system in the activity of ordering ship tickets online, the customer system that is used, information about the ship, ship schedules, orders to each destination. This company is engaged in sea transportation both freight and passenger transportation. Online ship ticket booking activities have been successfully implemented with application features that greatly facilitate customers. Based on data collection the author uses several methods including observation, interview, and document analysis methods, the results show that: the role of the system in ship ticket reservations will run smoothly if from the staff staff in entering data into the system more carefully so that there are no errors when entering customer data.
