Abstract
The implementation of immigration clearance in and clearance out for ships is an important procedure in shipping operational activities related to the entry and departure of vessels in a port area. This study aims to determine the process of immigration clearance in and clearance out for MT. Crane Vesta handled by PT. Meridian Agensi Indonesia Gresik Branch, as well as the obstacles encountered during the process. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively to provide a clear overview of the implementation of immigration clearance procedures. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of immigration clearance in and clearance out for MT. Crane Vesta is carried out through several stages, namely submission of ship documents, inspection by immigration officers, and issuance of entry and departure permits. PT. Meridian Agensi Indonesia Gresik Branch acts as the ship agent responsible for handling administrative processes and coordinating with related authorities. The obstacles encountered include delays in document submission, data discrepancies, and communication issues among parties involved.
