Abstract
Indonesia as the largest maritime country in the world requires efficient sea transportation to connect between islands. This study aims to analyze the calculation of transportation costs for the KM. Dharma Ferry II passenger ship operating on the Semarang-Ketapang route. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with primary data collection through field observations and secondary data from company documents. Cost analysis includes shipping costs, operational costs, cargo handling costs, and capital costs. The results show that in June 2025, total revenue of IDR 583,420,000 with total expenses of IDR 456,617,208 resulted in a profit of IDR 126,802,792. In July 2025, total revenue of IDR 560,660,000 with total expenses of IDR 405,605,744 resulted in a profit of IDR 155,054,256. The profit percentage in June reached 56% while in July it was 55%. Embarkation and disembarkation times have a significant impact on operational costs, with an increase in berthing duration of 3.5 percent in July resulting in an increase in mooring costs and other operational expenses.
