Abstract
The purpose of writing this final project is to obtain a more in-depth and understanding of the overview of the PT. Sumber Setia Jaya Abadi conducted by PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia-Surabaya in the export of goods via Air Freight is starting from the role as a freight forwarder who helps exporters on the activities of the export air freight to a country, procedure or the stages through which, the parties concerned, the documents required, the main culpr it in the export air freight and how to overcome them. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected and interviews directly, while secondary data obtained from books and other sources. Data collection method used is observation, which is to see directly the activities conducted at field. The results of this study concluded that as a freight forwarder acts as executor of export air freight which assist the maintenance documentation to facilitate exporters in carrying out the export process.Air freight export procedures, namely: request handling exporter to freight forwader after the goods are ready to be exported, after receiving information from the exporter, freight forwader create a shipping instruction is intended to Airlline for booking air cargo space before the goods are shipped labeled and along with that stuff all accompanying documents, each document having individual functions to be addressed to the relevant parties in the implementation of export. Documents needed in the export air freight are, Shipping Instruction, Invoice, Packing List, House Air Waybill, Master Air Waybill, PEB, NPE, COO.
