Abstract

Working at height involves working in an elevated location where there is a risk of workers sustaining injuries from falling (Alvianshah et al., 2023). To reduce the number of accidents caused by working at height, it is essential to conduct hazard and risk assessments using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. JSA is an analytical method used to identify workplace hazards and determine ways to mitigate the risk of such accidents (Ilmansyah et al., 2020). The objectives of this research are to determine the completeness of safety equipment for working at height, explain hazard identification, describe risk analysis for building structure work, understand the criteria and assessment of hazards, and identify risk control measures for building structure, plumbing, and electrical work in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method in the Ibrahim Building of Roemani Muhammadiyah Hospital, Semarang. The results of this study indicate the risk level, calculated using the Risk Rating Number (RRN), for all potential hazards in structural, plumbing, and electrical work. The findings are as follows: for all potential hazards in structural work, three hazards were classified as extreme (43.84%), one as high (16.44%), four as medium (39.73%), and none as low (0%): for all potential hazards in plumbing work, three hazards were classified as extreme (38.55%), one as high (14.46%), five as medium (46.99%), and none as low (0%): for all potential hazards in electrical work, three hazards were classified as extreme (44.74%), three as high (31.58%), three as medium (21.05%), and one as low (2.63%). Keywords: Hazard Identification, Risk Analysis, Working at Height, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Method.
