Abstract
In today's digital era, technology has greatly helped speed up and simplify various work processes, including in the shipping world. One form of technology utilization in the port sector is the use of the Inaportnet system. This paper discusses the process of providing ship agency services for MV. Adelaide carried out by PT. Gesuri Lloyd Surabaya using the Inaportnet system. As an archipelagic country, Indonesia has dense shipping traffic so that it requires an efficient and integrated service system. Inaportnet is a single internet-based service system designed to accelerate and expedite the service and goods process at the port. This study aims to explain the process of handling ship agencies, the documents required, the agencies involved, and the obstacles faced in implementing the Inaportnet system. The methods used in data collection are interviews, observations, documentation studies, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the Inaportnet system provides convenience for ships in the clearance in and clearance out process, increases time efficiency, and minimizes the possibility of data errors. However, several technical obstacles such as network disruptions and low user understanding of the system are still challenges. In conclusion, the use of the Inaportnet system greatly assists ships in agency services supported by increased human resource capacity and information technology infrastructure.
